Twas the day before Christmas...

Ho! Ho! Ho! I have 10 days off in a row! ...I can't believe its almost 2011. I know for a fact that 2011 is going to be better than 2010..bring on the new year! We have lots planned for this time off, lots of family, friends, snowshoe and Monday I will snowboard for the first time this season..wish me luck!
The other day Audrey asked if she could have some cornrows to look like K-Fed. I gave in. I give in pretty easily to most of her requests, especially if it has to do with hair styles...

The weather here has been pretty wet and gloomy. We went shoeing yesterday and the snow was very heavy. Didn't stop me though. Avelanche danger has also been very high. Don't worry. I'm being smart about it. I know where to go and if I call this number
1-888-999-4019 I can get all the info on avelanche danger for the day in the spot that we are going.

This picture was taken off my cell phone yesterday. We went to Green Basin in the Spruces up Big Cottonwood. Its so breathtaking.

Audrey has upgraded to wearing TWO snowsuits. She also has two layers on underneath, a scarf, mittens and some groovy baby goggles if she needs them. I always remind her while I am dressing her that she will thank me later.
Wanna see the goggles?

Pretty stylin if I do say so myself...

..We actually go snowshoeing about 3 times a week. I don't get pictures from every snowshoe because the 'ex' got the point and shoot camera.  Its hard to drag along my Canon Rebel that was more expensive than my first vehicle I ever drove (yes, the Buick)We take different friends almost every time we go and each hike is so different and beautiful that I felt that I was missing out on taking some awesome pics. That being said...

Wanna see something sweet?!

This is my new point and shoot camera! Its an Olympus Stylus Tough 6020. It has 14 megapixels and it hit all of my requirements for what I needed it for...its breakproof, waterproof, heatproof and coldproof. It literally goes underwater 16ft so I can take some awesome shots this summer of Audrey swimming...and it's totally cool if I drop it in the snow! I can take it on hikes in the summer and it wont melt! I'm so stoked about it and the pictures that I can get I almost peed my pants just thinking about it. I wont even worry about it being dropped or anything.

I did take my camera on an awesome snowshoe last week with some of my friends and I would LOVE to show these pics...
The group shot! We went up to Guardsmens, then cut through the trees up about Scotts Pass...then to a peak. This was pretty intense of a snowshoe. 1600foot elevation gain in 1.3miles. It took us 4 hours to go 3 miles total. Shit balls. That basically translates to tough as hell and straight up
It was a perfect day to shoe. It was not cold, it was pretty soft and powdery and the sun wasn't out so no burns or slush
I needed to pee. It seems like it would be easy to find a place to go. But I struggled a bit. I also had the honor of breaking trail going up. Lucky me!
 Through the trees we go
Totally worth the bum burn...

Dr. Pete Crossnob passed out at the top but we successfully resuscitated him..
Pretty sure I will be doing this one again soon!

So, Audrey and I haven't watched TV in four months. I decided a while ago that I didn't watch it too much anyways and I didn't want to have to pay for it each month. I usually just had it on for noise. I thought I could watch movies whenever I felt the urge. Well, the urge never came and I packed away the TV for good. And guess what? I don't miss it a bit!

Haha, I googled 'family infront of TV' and this is the picture that popped up. Awesome.

We get so much done. We play outside all day long, listen to all kinds of music, read books, do crafts, go play with friends and take pictures. Its not that I'm against watching TV...I just decided that I am going to raise Audrey without it. Shit, she watches enough when she is at her daddys.
There are a few disadvantages to not having TV. I dont pay attention to the weather. I could easily look it up online, but I used to watch the news. Now, I run late to work because I didn't know it was going to snow and my car is stuck and I didn't park it in the garage. I'm also not current on sports or politics. Not that I care. I got on KSL the other day and was super depressed just listening to all the latest child molestors, druggies and murderers. This world is nasty. I see enough crap at work. I don't need fill my head with that garbage and I don't need Audrey hearing it too.

On the flip side. Audrey is my little Cheeserface.
Here she is climbing on her new potty Santa Clause got her. The potty training will begin December 26th! Audrey is so damn hyper. She is the happiest, sweetest little thing. She is so excited about life, she loves everyone around her and she makes strangers smile. This cute little old man, he had to have been 85, came up to me at the store and gave me $1 and said to put it in her piggy bank because she was so cute to him. It was the sweetest thing.
At 14 months old, this is Audrey
  • She loves to give kisses. To anything. Her dolls, books, mommy..She even makes the kissy noise
  • She loves to scream and squeal and be the center of attention. She tells everyone that walks by, 'HI!'
  • She loves to say Doggy, Audrey, Mama, Dadda, Ouch, Weee, Uhoh, Hi, No, Whats that, that, Shit, Ooooh. Those are her favorite words
  • She loves to shake her head no when she doesn't want something
  • She loves waving bye bye
  • She helps me unload the dishes (which takes about ten hours longer) and handing me hangers when I'm doing laundry
  • She laughs for no reason but to get attention sometimes
  • She loves to dance to music
  • She likes to stick her hand in the toilet so I have to make sure they are all down at all time
  • Her favorite food is oatmeal with yogurt and she's not a picky eater
  • She's cut 4 molars and has 12 teeth total
  • She loves to go to the stairs and yell because she knows she shouldn't be there
  • She takes two, two hour naps a day and sleeps from 9 to 8

She's pretty cool! And up from her nap! Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Ut Uh Santa, you did not!

So in honor of the season...all babies must have a picture with Santa, right?
Well, our experience didnt go so well,,

Poor Audrey....No, Poor Santa!!...

I freakin LOVE this picture! I'm going to frame it and save it forever! So, that may seem cruel, Audrey hated that bearded old man that wanted her to sit on his lap...shit balls, I don't blame her?! But it still is funny...come on, you know it is..
And poor Santa! He was pretty stressed about the ordeal too! haha poor old man!

But I'll tell you what. I know for a fact she is terrified of Santa...Audrey isn't terrified of any strangers...seriously! This picture was captured at the mall with Zander during the last part of our Washington Vacation. Zander just sat there all sweet, probably wondering why his girlfriend is screaming like a crazy baby...

but later...

At the Airport to leave Washington, the exact same day that the picture above was taken...there was another Santa who was giving out free santa shots....so....this is what you get!
Santa off the side while mommy holds Audrey...haha.
Oh, and I sure as hell wasn't about to sit on that mans lap! haha! But Audrey was okay with Santa not near her but she was still a lil scared.. I can tell because she looks stressed in the picture. (and because I'm her mommy and I just know these things)

Awww... cant wait to see Audrey and her excitement this year with all her gifts and toys....OOOOOOH!

Until Later!

Pauley, Puyallup, Hot Chic.a.latte, WASHINGTON!

Oh, Washington...the state slightly shaped like a rhinoceros head..how Pamela has missed you. I've missed the real beer, the plush green trees, the Hot Chic-a-latte, two Buck Chuck and most importantly I missed these two...

Basically, this mommy was in major need of a vacation. Plus, we had to celebrate our one year anniversary! Yes, we met online when we were preggers, but December 12th of 2009 is when we met in person. (shush...don't hate because I remember the exact date)

So, being the brave woman that I am, I packed up Cheeserface, and took a plane to get some wet air, real beer and hang out with my wife.
This airplane ride is where I realized that my child does not cry...no, she SCREAMS.. seriously. It is the loudest scream/cry imagineable. Worst sound ever.  I tried everything to get her really tired before we took off. We even made some friends at the airport..
Easton and his mom Kayla (how ironic is that) live in Utah and were going to Seattle to visit family. Easton was born in October too. I figured this would make Audrey verrrry sleepy for the flight..wrong

Dont let those pigtails fool you...she had quite the devil horns going on that day...I was trying not to get too flustered, she was way too tired and wouldn't sleep. She probably could sense my anxiety too because I freak out when I fly. Damn. I definitely needed a big ol shot of tequila at this point...
Looking back at the first visit in May...

...How stinkin cute and little and angelic they were
Now they are toddlers and wont sit still for a picture together. I remember we could just plop em down on a blanket and they would stare at eachother and be content...now they just fight over toys and cry when the other one hugs them too hard...

And remember us mommies?  Look what a Cheeser Audrey is being in that first one.
Both Adeline and Audrey went from being bald with big bows piggys...aaand I weigh 20pounds less. haha. Yuck!

Of course the little stinker slept the whole way home from the airport. Yes, her sneakers light up when she walks...she loves the velcro and I love that I got them for $1

So, of course Adeline and Danni had to come over so all the babies could play. Audrey gets jealous of all the time Zander and Adeline get to spend together since they live so close to eachother (not Pamela getting jealous of all the time Kayla and Danni spend together)

The girls played a lot together. More like, fought a lot over similar toys. Zander would be so consumed in knocking over toys to notice the girls and their fights (which will surely be over who gets to date him as they get older)

That night we went to see Danni and Adelines beautiful new house, had some wine and ate some grub. They had a big ball pit that was an instant hit with Audrey.

Again, the children playing. Its amazing how much they have grown. (such a cliche saying...I need to be original damnit!)

Look at my sexy wife. I love her. Dayum girl!

Notice the dirty look Audrey is giving me? Seriously. She gives me this look a lot. She is still a Cheeserface but has turned into a major Attitudeface. She lets me know when I am interferring on hers and Zanders 'bath time'
Zander, on the other hand, is very excited for this bath moment. Audrey just wanted some alone time to spell letters on the tub with her man.
Sorry, honey, I'm a mamarazzi and this is how its done, mmmmk!

Audrey loves her outfits. She actually is a very good dresser in the sense of letting me dress her :) She lays there while I put on her clothes, even holds her feet out when its time for the shoes. She never fights me for a diaper change

So, the next day we decided to head to Pikes Place Market.
Pike Place..The place that smells strongly of fish guts. It also has some awesome locally grown fruits and veggies. We chowed down on some mandarins and other fruits before we headed over to the local brewery for some refreshing beer. Notice how 'dewey' my hair and skin looks? Love the humidity of the place. My makeup just melts off...sexy sexy...Audrey's skin stayed nice and soft though..

The brewery was awesome! We were seated far away as possible from other people in the restaurant. Thats a main difference of Washington and Utah. People in Utah are so beyond used to children and babies of all ages. In Washington, not so much. But thats cool with us. We dont mind our children screaming without anyone around to hear them but us!

Tell you what, Zander had a freakin blast! He's following in the steps of his girlfriend and is the true Cheeserface now

Audrey was annoyed. She didnt want this picture. Oh well, I'm the mommy and I take the pictures. Muahaha

Luckily, restaurants have these cool things called 'crayons' and they are desinged to distract children from screaming the entire time they are in the restaraunt...genious! So, the kids did that for a bit

Audrey decided to pose for this picture while mommy was excited over her beer. Yes, honey, this beer is important. Its a real one. Not a watery one.

Look how sweet Zander is staring at his mommy! Oh my goodness he is such a momma's boy. I get dirty looks from Audrey and Zander gives loving looks to his mommy. So sweet. I see this as a trend

Look at the genious one year old! He draws circles! Its amazing!
Another cheeserface moment by Zander

This is applejuice. The sweetest, most enjoyable drink ever for Attitudeface. Her cheeks were stuck like this for a few hours after consuming this beverage. I have come to the conclusion that Audrey felt the same way about her applejuice that night as I did about my beer... such a great feeling really. If you don't drink beer maybe you should try applejuice

The last time we were in Shimommishispnishitwilikila in Washington, we went to Rams, a brewery to eat. This is what the kids looked like then and this is what they look like now. SO Crazy how fat and bald Audrey was...
Now they look like cool little toddlers.

Next up....Carousel Ride in Downtown Seattle!!! Wanna see how excited I am for it?

Wow! Thats one excited mamaface. But Audrey had a blast too. She kept going...WEEEE the whole time around. Silly.

This picture deserves a frame. How cute. I just love her so much. She is such an awesome little person. Everything I do in my life is for her. Period. I new I'd love her, just didn't realize it would be this much love

And later that night...

ZOOLIGHTS!!!

Zoolights is pretty rad. They light up the zoo with light (hence the name) and Audrey LOVED it. She's at that age where she wants to walk everywhere, but she's not fast enough to really do it. So the second I pick her up she screams and screams. Totally tryin to be miss independent

It was pretty cold....

Look! We found daddy in the aquarium!

Pointing at the lights

Audrey's main goal was to play with Zander. She was more interested in him than the goats

So pretty

Audrey wont wear her gloves so I have to tie her hands off in her jackets with hairties. Hey, it works for when we snowshoe too!

The next day we were off to the ZOO in Seattle! I just love Seattle. Especially around Christmas time too.

Audrey doesn't seem too happy about being in her stroller...

It was really, and I mean really freakin cold! It was such a humid day and the wetness and coldness just soaked through to my bones. So we ate our lunch in the bug house, surrounded by tarantulas and cockroaches....MMMM...YUMMY

Zander pants LOVED the zoo...he would stare and smile at the animals...Audrey was more interested in running around and pushing the strollers

Tropical rain forest! My wife had her eyes closed in this picture...but it was the only picture we had of the four of us...so sorry dear! Its gonna be framed!

Running away from mommy

This is a flamingoose. It really thought it was a flamingo. We watched if for quite some time. May have been the highlight of the zoo...

Our last day :( We had Adeline and Danni over in the morning so the kids could play one last time...

And this is when Audrey and Adeline had their fights. They fought over EVERYTHING...it was cute

Lookin all sweet...so Audrey thinks everything is a toy she can sit on and ride...

The fight started when Adeline decided to pull Audreys bows off...
Then Adeline tried to steal the box Audrey was sitting on. This resulted in a face plant...
 Then the pushing war began...
Adeline wins! Look at the pure look of satisfaction on her face...
Then the fight over the magnet....Hopefully next trip they learn how to share...for now, I sit back with my camera and take pictures of the wrestle match

Time for us to leave on a jet plane! I even changed Audrey's outfit to pajamas, got her suckers, gave her snacks, made sure she was fed, had light up toys, toys, literally I tried EVERYTHING to get her to sleep. Lets just say this flight ended with a free Double Vodka Sprite and one stressed out mommy.

We had such an awesome vacation! Much needed, I miss my wife already and I can't wait to plan our next adventure out to see them all! UNTIL NEXT TIME!
